Gasoline three way catalyst (TWC) is developed based on high quality cordierite material, that with excellent performance of high mesh, thin walled thickness, large specific surface area, high compressive strength, low coefficient of thermal expansion as well as good thermal shock resistance. after being coated with catalyst it could be used in the three way catalytic converter system for vehicle exhaust purification, catalytically converting and purifying harmful substances in automobile exhaust gas, meeting emission regulations.
Three Way Catalyst (TWC) can convert harmful gases such as CO, HC and NOx discharged from automobile exhaust into carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen through oxidation and reduction. When the high-temperature automobile exhaust passes through the purification device, the purification agent in the three-way catalyst will enhance the activity of CO, HC and NOx, and promote oxidation-reduction chemical reactions. CO is oxidized at high temperature to become carbon dioxide gas; HC compounds are oxidized to water (H2O) and carbon dioxide at high temperature; NOx is deoxidated to nitrogen and oxygen. Three harmful gas become harmless gas, so that vehicle exhaust can be purified.
