Mount Mat 800

Mount Mat 800 is a high performance, reduced binder, vermiculite, intumescent, automative catalytic converter support mat mount with very good low temperature operating performance, and retention performance over wide operating temperature range (cold to 950℃).

Mount Mat 800 is designed for low to high temperature systems, light duty and heavy-duty truck and off-road applications including diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs), diesel particulate filters (DPFs), and selective catalytic reduction (SCRs), gasoline underbody applications, systems with isothermal or near isothermal temperature conditions etc.

Mount Mat 800 is designed to be a cost effective alternative to non-intumescent (polycrystalline fiber and ceramic fiber) catalytic converter support mats.

Product details

Mount Mat 800 as kind of high performance, reduced binder, less vermiculite, more insulation fiber content, intumescent, automative catalytic converter support mat is designed for improved resiliency and substrate retention at low temperature conditions. Now that the much moer fiber content and less vermiculite content, Mount Mat 800 is also called micro-intumescent catalytic converter support mat.

Mount Mat 800 is designed of a variety of mechanisms to improve support mat aged performance providing a proven long-term durability performance under inlet gas temperatures up to 950°C. Improved erosion resistance could provide a robust performance without the need for wire mesh ring protection (for erosion) or heat treatment for additional holding force at low temperatures.

At low operating temperatures (less than 350°C), Mount Mat 800 will behave as a non-intumescent mat, relying on its spring-like ceramic fiber matrix to provide the holding force required for the system. At temperatures above 350°C, a second feature of the product is activated. Small amounts of vermiculite particles within the fiber matrix compensate for thermal gap expansion of the shell, thus providing additional holding force to the ceramic substrate.
